Houston CENTER

Houston, the 4th largest city in the United States, is located in Southeast Texas near the Gulf of Mexico. The local industry has established Houston cultural and economic unique view. Energy, manufacturing, aeronautics, oil and gas and transportation are major growing industries in the city.
Houston hosts the Texas Medical Center, which is the largest medical center in the world! It is composed of 54 medicine related institutes, 21 hospitals, 8 academic and research institutes, 4 medical schools and the still growing. The Texas medical center has the highest densities of clinical facilities for patient care, basic science, and translational research. Houston is home to the largest children’s hospital in the world -Texas Children’s Hospital, as well as home to the largest cancer therapy center in the world – MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Houston ScienceAbroad center was founded in 2015. Majority of the Israeli PhDs and MDs fellows in Houston are working in the Texas Medical Center. Few of them are Israeli entrepreneurs that established their startups here, after exploring the city potential. Most of our events are social meetings and we collaborate with the Israeli House in Houston and the Beth Rambam Congregation.
